AUTOMATED PREFORM WEAVING CAPABILITIES
- DESIGN - F.D.I.'s engineers design multidimensional, multilayered, near-net-shape woven performs for reinforced composite structures.
- ENGINEERING - F.D.I. develops cost effective manufacturing methods to fabricate unique perform designs that have included the following: integrally woven, biaxially stiffened woven panels, cruciforms, turbine blades, hat sections, I-beams, y-spars, randomes, egg-crate sections, tapered sections and spiral woven performs. Thicknesses range from ultra thin up to 4.5 inches.
